In an effort to make my website more productive, and by more productive I mean pay me back for some of the time, effort and money I have put into it, I have enrolled in SocialSpark.
Social Spark is a service that connects advertisers with publishers, similar to affiliate marketing. The difference is that you do not search through thousands of advertisers, looking for something that you can tie into your site content. You do not even need a real website to do it.
Based upon the description of your blog, you receive offers from a number of advertisers that have something to promote or sell that relates to your blog topic. You then write a blog post about the movie, hand tool or watering can that the advertiser is selling and are compensated to do so.
I first heard about this type of blog monetization in a USA today article about earning money with your blog. There were a few different companies listed. Each with the same concept but executed in their own unique way. After reading through a half dozen sites I decided to give Social Spark (SS) a try.
I was able to browse some of the advertisers’ offers or opportunities before signing up. I thought this feature really gave SS the advantage over some of the other programs. The feature that really cinched it for me was that I am able to register multiple blogs under one user account. This should really simplify the process for me, because I currently manage six sites with blogs.
The sign up and blog validation process was straightforward and simple. Upon completion I was presented with five opportunities. It was fairly easy to understand the requirements and compensation of each. I look forward to a continuing and prosperous relationship with Social Spark.
