Small, family owned farm stands are a staple of our rural Pocono landscape. PoconoGardening.com defines a "Farm Stand" as a venue which is either open to the public or by appointment and is operated by a single vendor.
In addition to obtaining farm fresh produce or artisan cheeses, you will be able to experience the sights and sounds of a working farm. Who knows, you may even be able to pet some animals that you don't run into every day. Most farmers are proud of their land and facilities and are willing to show inquisitive visitors around. But do not be offended if your request for a tour is denied. Farmers are busy people and hay waits for no one.
